I have titled my blog, Of the ordinary & the extraordinary. Sounds enticing aye?

I have always loved reading other bloggers who have such eloquent and interesting style of writing that draws readers attention to read their blog entries. Such good english too!
Of my favourite are Raymond's Exotipication ; What Makes Good Reading (I blog hopped all the way to TP's best debater who won last 2008 interpoly debates.) ; Teawithnicole and some more whom i could not remember anymore cos time does not allow me to blog hop anymore.

I had admired and wanted to write like them.
It orientates you to the bloggers thoughts and it's like you know them personally though you really don't.

ANYWAY!

I wonder how am i gonna survive next week.
It's bad enough that i have been demoralized and dismayed with last Tuesday's battle.
I've lost.
FFFFUUUUUUUUUU!

SO HOW?!

Next week is a killer week with 4 bloody test and ASSessments.
Let me explain:

1. Tue: CCS's E-ASSsment.
2. Wed: Skills ASSsment of Wound Dressing.
3. Thurs: Health ASSessment (KILLER I TELL YOU!).
4. Thurs: Psychology Presentation.

May not sound a lot to you.

BUT IT IS TO ME!

I kinda woke up at 6am and then drifted back to sleep. Managed to get out of the house on time, but decided to take a cab again -.-" It's health assessment lab again!

Lynna and Thivya left school after lunch and Psychology was still as interesting as ever. But after lecture, i got too tired and sleepy and i wanted to stay and sleep. We have an hour break before the next class which was a tutorial. Decided to give it a miss and go off to a mall and buy something presentable to wear before meeting Kaiying & Gabriel.

But i was feeling too tired and got Theory test and practical assessment next week, i'll be too tired to do anything tonight by then.

I told Kaiying so last minute that i won't meeting them. Supppppeeeerr guilty okay!

But at least i had a nice good sleep after i came home.

also, i had a great talk with a few friends today.
It's always nice to talk to friends whom you can share your thoughts easily with. Made me feel and think better :]

HURRAH TO ME!
while my batch are all in year 2, i am finally moving on to my Semester 2 of my freshman year!

this semester's time table and new groupings are different now.
Oh, i gave feedback to our mentor. Not that i really dislike the new groupings but i dislike the fact that she grouped us into different groupings when she do not personally knows us. well, although she had pasted our pictures on her wall like mugshots on a sheriff's posters. Hahahaha!



School, school!
I also foresee semester 2 is going to be fast and rushed and busy!

There is external event, the open house, the exams, more work projects ( $ $).
The year 2009 will zoom by in no time!

I AM SO SAD!

No.1 :I did not get to take a lot of pictures of Ward 64 (As in, you know the signboard outside the ward which says WARD 64)

No.2 : I did not get to take pictures with my favourite people like Shaqila, Farhat and one of the ENs and SNs!

No. 3: I am going to miss my patients!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


So the last day was but uneventful and saddening. And oh, I would say it was a slack day too! Everyone's eyes were gleaming and shouting "It's the last day today!!!!!"


Last day, Friday, Afternoon Shift

I would usually be at the bus stop by 11.45am and take the 11.50am bus and arrive half an hour early at the hospital. But on that day, i took the 12.10pm bus because i was craving for some ice cold milk tea. Throughout this attachment, i have been drinking milk tea like A LOT!

The bus stopped at Shaqila's stop and i smiled thinking to myself that Shaqila must have been there already. A few moments later, i saw her on the bus. Haha! Shaqila is like my opposite cubicle, my bus ride companion home w/ Farhat and i always meet her on the bus, and for the last two days, we had our break together!

Anyway, We were supposed to be out there doing work at 1pm but we went for our Case Study in equipment room. Everyone was all excited! We stayed there chatting and chatting, picture taking till 4pm! and at 4pm, it was breaktime! So we technically started work at 5pm!

There was new admission/transfer in my cubicle and she was a nice lady with nice daughters. I fed her and had a chat. Nice lady, too bad it was my last!

Last day was sad and uneventful because Farhat was in the morning shift and there were only Meiman, Hassan, Shaqila and i who were on Afternoon shift. By 9 o'clock, we said our goodbyes to our friends (patients), left a card for Judit the SN, had our daily dose of Mr.Bean and left home!

That's it!
3 WEEKS OF ATTACHMENT WAS THAT FAST!
It went like, WHOOSH!

I am gonna miss NUH. My patients and my newfound friends whom i've never seen in lecture hall before.

NUH seems more cooler then SGH now.

Teacher's Day!

met up with prawny to head down back to school to collect Bethany's testimonial from the office and to see if anyone from our batch came back. and also, to see the newly upgraded queenstown.

I guess we were too early, the celebrations were still ongoing when we arrived. And very few people from our '07 batch came. Felicia, Howe Yong, Guorong ,Zacharie & Shao siong. Didn't get to see Keane who was there since 8am!

and i met with some of the '08 batch too. Bee Hong, Wanyi, Lay Fang and all. and of course, Stacey whom i haven't met in a long long time! Pearlyn & Shu Qi were there too!

We didn't stay long this time since not much people from our batch came :(
didn't get to say hi to my juniors too! Syahidah, Nicole Tee, Vijay, Vincent..

and the school buiding changed a lot! take a look at the parade square now. i guess it's not to be called parade square anymore. the multi purpose sports hall is about 3 levels high and the hall seems to be bigger. and and, the staff room for the teacher's. SO UGLY! no more chairs and tables to hang around.

THE COOKIE TIME! i heard from Hoileng that the prefect doing/anouncing the cookie time now do it without passion. In other words, boring. Monotonous voice, no creativity or new catchy lines!

How sad! It used to be so anticipated and looked forward to during morning assemblies!

and i feel bad for not blogging about my 20th Birthday this year, Dad's Birthday, Trip to Philippines last January and maybe Outings with friends. I haven't really thank people yet for my this year's birthday, Especially my this year's class NR0913, and to some really cool people. If i haven't pushed myself to blog after being hospitalised, i would not have been able to give a proper thank you.

so maybe i would do another mass update and update on random happenings which i have not posted before.

it was Nurses Day yesterday.

years ago, i could not see myself as a nurse. and here i am! standing tall and proud that i did not ever regret the switch to Nursing!

i thought i would be so so busy, but thank God my time was well managed. So no more presentations for this semester, exams are around the corner. The meeting this week was kinda disappointing though!

After so long, we finally found a family for our project! So last minute, we actually did the interview a week before our presentation. Good thing we managed to do everything within a few days!

Off we went to Aljunied!
Lynna was so funny. There were lots of stray cats we met along the way to the place and she named them "nana, bobo, lola.." and she named one more cat after being annoyed. The name was.. Wen Yang. HAHA!

and and! on the way to Aljunied, i actually met Zheng Yi!
He was so enthu can! and he looked so much different now, couldn't recognize him at first! Oh those band days!

DATE WITH KAIYING!

again, we counted how long we haven't met up for some crazy night ou t! Love friday nights with her! Rock ballz manzxz!

took a long nice bus ride to town to kill time before meeting up and headed down to plaza sing where she pierced her ears.
then off to our turf- vivo city!

we had wanted to try out all the restaurants on the 1st level, but so far we only had dine in a few of them! we could not make up our mind at that time, and we finally settled on Fig & Olive's.

Which is right beside Earle's Swensens. Haha! i met a few of the people since we were seated outside. Ma'am Hoi Foon and one of the aunties from the kitchen. Haven't stepped in since almost 2 years alsready.

happy, but exhausted mood.
i think i might fall sick soon!

reasons why i am contented and happy?

firstly, our family & community health presentation went smoothly, though we only had a few days to prepare because of the very last minute interview of our client. and i was very confused on the structure of it, and finally got the gist of it on the eve of presentation.

and at the end of the day, when everything went so smoothly, i feel so happy and contented that the efforts & time we as a group put in did not go to waste.

secondly, a week or two before bio science practical test, i felt guilty to myself for being so undisciplined that i get myself studying for the test. and i can say, i am very pleased with my results!


i am all smiles now.
well, only that i am too tired and exhausted.

what a slow, relaxing day!
and a cool, refreshing night to feel the night breeze on your shoulders as you jog and look at the starless sky! i finally got my lazy bum out of the house and had some exercise done. YAY!

well, yes. adequate hours of sleep do actually helps a lot. like my mood! it feels great to be not moody and feel shitty. i feel great! well, till i was reminded of the exam timetable which was just released.

12th August- Safety in Health Care (Not confirmed yet!)

24th August- Foundation in Nursing & Lynna's Birthday!

Oh great, i have not done much reading up on the module though i really like it and find it interesting. and try as hard as i did, i still fall asleep during lecture for psychology. I wonder why. Maybe it's because Lynna rests her head on my shoulder to sleep (she says it's real comfy!) and unknowingly, i fall asleep too!

i rushed out of the house and took a cab to school only to have myself sitting outside the lab for 2 hours doing nothing productive while the others were having their assessments. I could have saved the money rather than took a cab!

had lunch with the girls at our usual favourite spot!

Wednesday

i came a couple of minutes late for lecture. Phew, i gotta stop this bad habit of lateness. I actually woke up at 8.30am yet i only managed to get out of the house at 10am!

today's wednesday was longer than the usual wednesdays. we start at 11am, end the last lecture at 1pm and our test starts at 5.30pm!

we went to a couple of places to study. HARHAR, study?
anyway, we went to our favourite hang out, but it was occupied! so we went to level one which was an unusual to have our packed lunched there. We passed by the stadium and Thiviya and i thinks it's great idea to study there, with the sun and the wind.

second stop, we went to the library's discussion rooms. Anira & gang had booked a room, so it was perfect to study but we ended up talking- about Michael Jackson. Haha, how productive!

and now notice the very prominent finger sticking out behind us.

STUDY BREAK IS EXTENDED?!

I don't know, but nothing's been official yet. So far, no emails nor sms-es from the school yet. But eh, seems like NYP is the only poly to do this leh!

I would pretty much prefer it if it is not extended. Let the school, common tests and projects come in. I want to go back to school and get presentation and stuff done then don't have to worry about it.

and oh, imagine my shock when i woke up exactly at 11.53am this morning.

I was supposed to be in school to meet the group members for discussion!! Woah, i still couldn't believe that i woke up at that exact time i was supposed to be in school, and i had set the alarm too okay!

I AM BROKE.
BOOHOOOS!

Okay, so i did pass the assessment.

But i'm not to happy with myself over it.
I could have done better lah!

Ms Tan said i must try not to listen to my ipod more often now cos it'll affect my hearing.
HOW CAN! HOW TO LIVE WITHOUT IPOD!!

and chicken, it's close to 1am now i haven't slept yet when i have to be in school at 9am tomorrow and camp tomorrow which probably means i will not be sleeping enough again.

and oh, i just wanna say that although the long wait i had to wait before going back to school to study, to retain one more year and to be year 1 again to take a completely different course from what i was taking was worth it.

i feel that i did not regret making the decision i had made.

haha, i know i'm being random but i had wanted to express this some time ago. people had remarked and told me i might changed my mind halfway throughout and walk to another different path, but this is it. Only the projects and practicals are killers though.

With the decision i had made last year, i had made a different group of better people and classmates. Better bunch of classmates than those last year whom i think are really immature, selfish and whatsohaveyoutosay. I can't be bothered.

So if you ask me, i'd say yes. I am definitely happier where i am now.

What a day it has been.

You know there are just days when you just don't feel right? Well, today was one of those days. And i feel SO super tired today. I had to drag myself out of the bed and convince myself that i woke up later than usual. Rushed to school and managed to arrive on time at 8am only to find out that our lecturer had actually informed the wrong class to come at 8am! Our lesson was supposed to be at 10am leh!

Okay, i feel so tired and lethargic. Hard as i tried, i still fell asleep in lectures today. Bad Suaney. and my appetite has come back. GRRRRRRRRR!

So yes, i am sleep deprived.

I am feeling really nervous for tomorrow. In order to de-stress, i went to clean the toilet in the middle of the night before going to sleep. And had a good midnight refreshing shower.

Yes, i feel insane.
HARHARHAR!

Eh, but i really did clean it and it is now sparkling clean okay. And it kinda helped clear the worries and the nervousness i felt!


Oh, that is because we'll be having our presentation tomorrow. Presentation so what, you may think. Well, tomorrow's presentation is a first time for us to present us a group and i feel that we could have done much more better for the content.


But oh wells.

I guess i was so sleepy that i actually forgot to wash away conidtioner on my hair after showering! I only realized it after i changed into my clothes and was about to leave the house! How blur!

Anyway, It's e-learning week and we were to have only school on thursday and friday. But with the group discussions, graduation day duties and lab practices, it feels like it's just any ordinary school week.

Can you believe it, i actually almost ended up in JB today!

Mom and dad woke me up real early today, before leaving for work. They woke me up at 6am when first lesson is at 10am!!! So of course, i went back to sleep lah after they left, and when i woke up, i overslept a little and quickly rushed out of the house.

Then 178 came just on time, and i wanted to alight at Marsiling MRT station thinking it would be going there.

After the stop at Kranji MRT station, the bus actually turned to the left and went to the direction which buses would go to JB!

Imagine my reaction!
I was so "woah!"

Quickly, i pressed the bell and the bus driver looked at me weirdly cause who would want to alight in the middle of nowhere? (It seemed like the bus stop i alighted was in the forestry area!)

Good thing a bus quickly came and rescued me lah!
