25th November.
The day i have been waiting for, anticipating and looking forward to be over.

SO LIKE, FINALLY!
I AM SO HAPPY!!!

I am of mixed emotions after Child's Play ended today.
Elated, proud, disappointed and relieved (RELIEVED, IT'S OVER!)

I get feedback, with some saying "Congratulations! your event had been a success!" or, "Well DONE! We enjoyed ourselves!" or "Child's Play had been a smashing success!"

It feels so good to hear and feels weird at the same time.
Feels weird because i am somehow not convinced otherwise.

But..

it feels good that at the end of the day, i see the Children with smiles on their faces, enjoying their candyfloss with glee, recieving their toys with happy faces.

it feels good that at the end of the day, everyone who helped out, be it the volunteers for facils, games stations and the committee enjoyed themselves.

it feels good that at the end of the day, everyone in the committee worked together. and i get to give them a hug, :D

it feels good that at the end of the day, it is all over!

after all these while, the past few months of effort for this external event, i had made myself stressed out, shed many tears, been sleep deprived, had bad temper, been too busy to eat proper meals and been running off during breaks to get this and that done.

I never thought, that i would go this far.
Upon being given the role, i had wanted to backed out and not take up the responsibility.I dismissed the thoughts away, not wanting to embarrass myself and be known as someone who backed off from her responsibilities.

Many at a time, i wonder to myself "Why am i putting so much effort and time into this? What's all this for?I don't even get to benefit from doing all this!". I would cry, with despair that i have been lousy in managing and getting this and that done. I shed tears, when i was so stressed that we were running out of time.

I don't know what drives me, to continue all the way. From the beginning, i had told Elyn & Mardiana that i would be leaving them to responsibilities and go Missing-in-Action. Which didn't happen of course lah.

That's why i was so happy when the Proposal got approved, after the 1st proposal got rejected. and i got annoyed when Wen Yang said "What for so happy? Approved only mah. Still got execution of the proposal"

Tsk tsk, killjoy lah!

and and, all this while, especially before the proposal got approved, i got temperamental. and my emotions are like rollercoaster. Very high one moment, then after that very angry.

Oh well!

It's over now.
and everything would not have been possible if not for everyone!

and i wanna say a BIG THANK YOU too everyone in the committee, especially to Elyn, Wani
and Nas! Wouldn't have known what to do if not for them!

I AM HAPPY!

Teacher's Day!

met up with prawny to head down back to school to collect Bethany's testimonial from the office and to see if anyone from our batch came back. and also, to see the newly upgraded queenstown.

I guess we were too early, the celebrations were still ongoing when we arrived. And very few people from our '07 batch came. Felicia, Howe Yong, Guorong ,Zacharie & Shao siong. Didn't get to see Keane who was there since 8am!

and i met with some of the '08 batch too. Bee Hong, Wanyi, Lay Fang and all. and of course, Stacey whom i haven't met in a long long time! Pearlyn & Shu Qi were there too!

We didn't stay long this time since not much people from our batch came :(
didn't get to say hi to my juniors too! Syahidah, Nicole Tee, Vijay, Vincent..

and the school buiding changed a lot! take a look at the parade square now. i guess it's not to be called parade square anymore. the multi purpose sports hall is about 3 levels high and the hall seems to be bigger. and and, the staff room for the teacher's. SO UGLY! no more chairs and tables to hang around.

the parade square?

in case you guys don't know too, there is a new p and vp.

and the coookie time has degraded!
THE COOKIE TIME! i heard from Hoileng that the prefect doing/anouncing the cookie time now do it without passion. In other words, boring. Monotonous voice, no creativity or new catchy lines!

How sad! It used to be so anticipated and looked forward to during morning assemblies!

such a boring celebration.
our batch = the best!

headed down to great world.
we were reliving the old secondary school days where we usually hang out apart from tiong bahru. had my island creamery! Loooooooooovely cookies & cream of theirs ok!

Gabriel came down with his pictionary and hung out in macs till Kaiying came and we played pictionary. So noisy there! HAHA! Prawny have to leave for The Proposal. Sweet movie! I'd rate 3/5.

i'm so happy with myself!
*beams*

for the past week since Wednesday, i have made the effort to sleep earlier. So i can say that i have at least 6-7 hours of sleep now! and yes, to have enough hours of sleep, i did not doze off in church today and i listened attentively!

WHEE~

and i had a relaxing weekend, and had some studying done. Surprisingly, dad allowed to sleep in later than usual yesterday. Which was surprising cause he'd usually wake us up at 7.30am on Saturdays! and last Friday, when i woke up at 7am with plans to go to the poly clinic early to get a jab done, he told me to get some more sleep. Hahaha! Surprise, surprise! We woke up at 12pm, just on time for lunch.

but the weekends are past over, the days ahead are DARK! After days, weeks of searching for an Elderly and family to assess and interview, Wen Yang finally found a family! Phew! I thought this was the end for us. But we can only have it on Thursday, so everything's gonna be in a rush. Sleepless nights are ahead. HOPE NOT!

i am going to get adequate hours of sleep every night!

AND THIS REMINDS OF SOMETHING!

this morning, on the way to church, my sister and i were on the bus sitting on the seats which were meant to be given to those who need it more. It was a relatively crowded bus, and we saw an elderly woman boarded the bus. We kept in looking at her direction with the intention of giving up the seat to her (my sister does not wanna sit without me), when we stood up, we have not even left the seats, some inconsiderate selfish woman rushed forward and pushed her way through and took the seat. WITHOUT giving it to the elderly! Wah, so angry know!

Tsk tsk, inconsiderate people.

all in all

i like being occupied and busy.
and wednesday was one jam packed day that i did not have in a long time. it was also my first official day at work. no jitters this time on calling numerous people and talking to them on the phone, i got many funny encounters already at my previous job. but this job is harder in a sense that it's harder to keep the person on the other line to keep talking to you and not hang up, which many of them already did. but great thing my boss is really nice. i just hope i won't disappoint her lah.

after work, went to queenstown. i haven't get beth's testimonials for her yet =x but they won't give it to me unless have authorisation letter. should have called, wasted my time going there! then to school. wah! on the way to school it was so bright and sunny and throughout the late afternoon, it was raining cats and dogs! so met the a team people at the booth and did campus road run duty. the shirt was nice if it's wasn't err, too big. but we couldnt start the run cause of the pouring rain and we were standing out in the rain holding out our umbrellas. i felt weird doing that cause i was standing pretty near to the shelter and there i was in the rain under the umbrella.

and we saw everyone ran.
and gave them H20, cheered.
saw familiar faces, as usual i only remember the faces. and when they come running near to us i open my mouth to cheer, but alas! i forget the name! paisey ah!

the music was a blast at the stadium! but had to leave early and couldnt stay for dinner cause aunt living nearby has insisted i come for dinner with them. being a nice person, i of course said yes. haha!

at the stadium with the a team girls.

while everyone is studying for their CTs now, i'm trying to get back my love and interest in reading books which i have long lost. started with Potter a week ago. worked! it's been a year or o since i last read Potter and i almost forgot who and what happened. i was such an avid reader of it you know! then i moved on to amy tan's saving fish from drowning. nah, not my type. i'd prefer her other books. borrowed a couple more from the library, opefully i'll get the momentum and get hooked on to reading again.

and i found a new interesting blog to read which i'd put in my category of Good Reads! check out thedancingturtle. obviously i dont know him, and vice versa. i only him through debates in which he participated in and won it. so i got hooked on to his interesting write ups and they're funny! (i sound like i'm those reviewers and advertisers in newspapers or something, haha!)
